When you’re working with students who struggle with behavior or social-emotional skills, you need clear guidance, practical strategies, and tools that actually work in real classrooms. That’s what this space is designed to give you.
Whether you’re navigating daily behaviors, trying to understand why a student is struggling, or looking for ways to teach SEL in a way that sticks, you shouldn’t have to figure it out alone. You deserve support that feels realistic, doable, and grounded in experience.
For more than two decades, I’ve helped students with diverse needs across kindergarten through high school—teaching in self-contained classrooms, supporting general education teachers, leading RTI teams, and helping schools build behavior systems that truly support kids.
Those years taught me one thing:
When educators have simple, effective tools for behavior and SEL, everything runs smoother—learning, relationships, and classroom community.
The Responsive Educator was created to give you that kind of support.
Behavior strategies you can use right away
SEL activities and tools that help students understand and manage feelings
Printable resources that save you time
Book recommendations that strengthen social and emotional learning
Practical guidance that helps you feel prepared instead of overwhelmed
My goal is to help you feel confident and equipped, even on the hard days. If we haven’t met yet—hi, I’m Jennifer. I’m a teacher, behavior specialist, and resource creator who believes that small, consistent supports can make a big difference for kids and for the adults who serve them.
I’m so glad you’re here. Let’s help students thrive—together.
If you ever have a question, want support, or need to reach out, I’m here.
